Well, when Kevin was there they were downsizing and it was his intent to shift towards discontinuing LOS so they could focus entirely on CNR and supporting the community driven os, freespire. However that didn't pan out given his resignation. The company was being set up to go in a different direction, but then Michael and his subordinates came in and they had their way with it.

Yes, while discontinuing Linspire and moving to CNR was probably a good idea given the circumstances, CNR was free so then the company was all but worthless except in the realm of IP and royalties from the Independent Software Vendors selling on CNR. Obviously the conflict on management on MRs part didn't help.
